Advancing Technology for Humanity
IEEE is a global non-profit professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation. Headquartered in New York City, IEEE was founded on January 1, 1963, as a result of the merger between the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE)—which had renowned scientists like Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla among its members—and the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE).
